Position Overview

Come be part of the opening team! We are seeking an energetic and reliable Food Runner to join our GreenHouse team. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring timely delivery of food from the kitchen to our guests, helping create an exceptional dining experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesFood Delivery

  • Transport food orders from the kitchen to guest tables quickly and accurately

  • Ensure all dishes are delivered at proper temperatures and presentation standards

  • Verify orders match guest requests before delivery

  • Deliver multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods

Guest Service

  • Assist servers by delivering food and clearing tables

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate needs to servers

  • Maintain professional and friendly demeanor with all guests

Kitchen Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers

  • Alert servers when orders are ready

  • Inform kitchen of any issues with orders or special requests

  • Help expedite orders during peak times

Cleanliness & Safety

  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Assist with opening and closing duties as needed

QualificationsRequired

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to carry heavy trays (up to 30-40 lbs)

  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Positive attitude and professional appearance

Preferred

  • Previous restaurant or food service experience

  • Knowledge of food safety practices

  • Familiarity with POS systems

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hour shifts

  • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds

  • Comfortable working in hot kitchen environments

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach frequently
